Reporting

We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and ethical environment for all those involved with I2U, be it members, leaders, and volunteers. Any individual who witnesses or experiences an incident that violates our policies, values, or any legal or ethical standards should report it using our Incident Reporting Form.

Steps to Take

Notify

For Chapters, notify your Chapter Liaison or Program Manager of the incident as soon as possible, as well as any relevant school authorities. For the Global Team, notify your Director. If the issue involves your direct supervisor, or you are uncomfortable reporting to them, you may escalate the report directly to the Director of Chapter Affairs or an Executive Director.

Gather Details

Gather all relevant details about the incident. This includes specific information such as the nature of the incident, the individuals involved, the date and time of occurrence, the location, and any witnesses. If possible, collect supporting materials, such as emails, text messages, photos, or screenshots, that can provide further context or evidence of the incident.

Report Incident

Detail the nature of the incident, individuals involved, the date and time of occurrence, and any witnesses through the Incident Reporting Form at i2u.li/reports. Incident reports may be completed anonymously, but to receive updates and/or direct correspondence from us, you must include your name and a contact email. To include files and photos such as emails or screenshots, please upload them to a file-sharing website such as Dropbox and include a public link to the files in the Incident Report.

Seek Support

Seek support if needed. If the incident has caused you emotional distress, don’t hesitate to reach out for help.

Investigation and Action

Once an incident report is submitted, an internal investigation will be initiated. This may involve interviewing involved parties, gathering additional evidence, and consulting with relevant authorities, such as law enforcement, if necessary. The investigation will be conducted impartially, with the goal of resolving the issue in a fair and timely manner.

After the investigation, the appropriate corrective actions will be taken, which may include mediation, disciplinary measures, or policy revisions. The relevant parties will be informed of the outcome, and follow-up may be conducted to ensure the issue has been adequately resolved. If an Incident Report contains a contact email, we will also follow up with that email as well.

Inspired 2 Uplift strictly prohibits any form of retaliation against individuals who report incidents in good faith. Any act of retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action.
