WHAT WE DO
At Inspired 2 Uplift, we empower youth with disabilities by fostering inclusion and raising awareness about disability-related issues. Through our innovative programs—such as the Buddy Program and our national Chapter System—we create meaningful connections between students with and without disabilities. Our mission is to break down barriers, promote understanding, and cultivate future leaders who advocate for inclusivity. With chapters across the globe, we’re dedicated to transforming empathy into action, making schools and communities more supportive, accessible, and inclusive for all.
OUR CHAPTER SYSTEM
I2U'S CHAPTER PROGRAMS
Inspired 2 Uplift's Chapter System is a foundational component of the organization's approach to advocating for
and supporting youth with disabilities.
Our chapters function as branches of the Inspired 2 Uplift in institutions all around the world. We offer them personalized resources, a website, and many more, to aid them in our mission.
This structured network of local chapters is designed to facilitate direct community engagement, offer localized connections between students of all abilities, and empower youth through leadership and educational opportunities.
BUDDY SESSIONS
Our Buddy Program fosters friendships and meaningful connections for students with diverse abilities. By creating a welcoming space for all participants to interact, our program enhances the school environment for those who may feel different or left out due to disabilities or social challenges. Sessions are held weekly, tailored to each school's schedule, and extend throughout the school year, with opportunities for continuity through our Chapter Leaders.
Events & Advocacy
Our Events and Advocacy sector allows university and high school chapters to host impactful outreach initiatives. This program includes workshops at elementary schools to teach Paralympic sports and provide education on disability awareness. Right now, we are in the process of designing lesson plans on topics like the importance of inclusive environments. Additionally, we support fundraising efforts like the chapter-wide popcorn fundraiser in partnership with the Double Good Foundation.
I2U Connections
I2U Connections empowers chapter leaders to host events that strengthen their core volunteers. The Global Team is currently redesigning the program
to include partnerships with NGOs, offering free Diversity, Equity, Inclusion,
and Accessibility (DEIA) training for university and high school students in
our network. This initiative fosters team-building and enhances volunteer
cohesion.
